Managed Services (OMS)

Managed Services (also known as Tierce Maintenance Exploitation – TME or Infogérance) cover the tasks of supervising, administering and operating Information Systems, and enable them to be maintained in Operational Condition (MCO).

The aim is to provide optimum systems along the following four main axes:

Availability

Users must be able to carry out their tasks at the times dictated by their activity.

Security

Users must be able to access their transaction data, regardless of their location, with the utmost confidentiality of the data handled.

Performances

SAP’s response and processing times must not impact on users’ day-to-day work.

Scalability

SAP environments need to be regularly updated to support the implementation of new functionalities and technologies.

The aim of the approach proposed by Applium is to provide all the supervision and administration tasks for the various hardware and software layers enabling the smooth running of SAP and non-SAP applications. Applium offers a flexible, modular solution that is particularly well suited to the needs of small and medium-sized businesses.

With the SAP ecosystem undergoing a major transformation, Applium has adjusted its Managed Services offering to provide high value-added services for SAP Cloud ERP Private (formerly SAP Rise – Private Cloud) customers. Applium offers customers to interface with SAP and take charge of all actions not covered by the standard services of ECS (Enterprise Cloud Services) teams, as well as the management of actions. Applium is also positioning itself to support customers in their transformation to the cloud by also offering Managed Services for Rise-related applications (SAP and non-SAP) hosted on AzureAWS or OVHcloud.

Applium offers OVHcloud solutions for customers requiring hosting on so-called “sovereign cloud” infrastructures

This offer is reflected in the Catalog of Services Managed Services. Each task is identified as a Unit of Work (UO).

Each Work Unit is associated with :

  • A description
  • An all-inclusive price
  • Advance notice in working days

UO are divided into 4 categories :

  • 4 UO related to actions on SAP operating systems
  • 8 UO linked to actions on databases (whatever their type SAP HANA, Oracle, MS SQL, ASE, …)
  • 31 UO related to SAP actions (account management, client management, patch application, etc.)
  • 44 UO related to infrastructure actions (on our Azure and OVHcloud-compatible hosting offers)

The Managed Services services are provided by Applium’s SAP Support and Maintenance Center, which also provides AMS (Application Management Services) and Editor Maintenance.
