The implementation date for electronic invoicing in France, set for September 1er 2026 for all companies subject to VAT, is fast approaching. This reform will oblige all economic players to issue and receive their invoices in electronic format via approved platforms, and to transmit certain transaction data to the tax authorities (e-reporting procedure). How can your company anticipate this deadline and achieve compliance without difficulty ? Discover GenerixByApplium, the complete solution developed by Applium to ease your transition to electronic invoicing.
What the law provides for: timetable for electronic invoicing
The reform of B2B electronic invoicing will affect all companies established in France and subject to VAT, according to a staggered timetable:
- 1er September 2026 : obligation to issue electronic invoices for large companies and intermediate-sized companies (ETIs), and obligation to receive electronic invoices for all companies, regardless of size.
- 1er September 2027 : extension of the obligation to issue electronic invoices to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and micro-enterprises.
In other words, by September 2026, all businesses will have to be ready to process invoices in electronic format. In addition, data from transactions not covered by electronic invoicing (sales to private individuals, exports, etc.) will have to be transmitted via the e-reporting system, in accordance with procedures defined by the tax authorities.
To comply with these obligations, each company will have to use either the French government’s Public Billing Portal (Chorus Pro), or a private platform accredited as a Partner Dematerialization Platform (PDP). In practice, as the public portal is not yet operational, the use of a PDP will be essential to issue and receive your electronic invoices in compliance with the law.

Thanks to this technological alliance, companies equipped with SAP have a ready-to-use solution for issuing and receiving all their electronic invoices directly from their ERP, while fully complying with French legal obligations.
Why did Applium choose Generix as its PDP partner ?
Applium chose Generix as its PDP partner after a comparative study of market offerings. Several advantages tipped the scales in Generix’s favor:
Complete functional coverage:
The Generix Invoice Services solution supports all invoicing and reporting scenarios, from the conversion of different invoice formats (EDI, PDF/OCR, etc.) to the generation of a readable document for recipients, via reliable audit trail management and secure, legally recognized electronic archiving. All flow categories are supported (customer/supplier invoices, credit notes, domestic or international transactions, e-reporting data…), with the application of hundreds of regulatory controls to ensure compliance.
Experience and reliability:
A pioneer in dematerialization for nearly 30 years, Generix’s recognized expertise in EDI and electronic invoicing is synonymous with solidity and durability. The company was one of the very first PDPs registered in France (registration no. 2), and plays an active role in electronic invoicing standardization bodies (Forum National de la Facture Électronique, Peppol network, etc.).
International dimension:
Generix’s global presence enables it to support companies in implementing e-invoicing throughout the world, while adapting to different local regulations. This international dimension is a guarantee of peace of mind for multinational groups that have to manage e-invoicing obligations in several countries.
Adoption by other SAP customers:
Generix has already been adopted by several SAP-user companies in France, demonstrating that its offering is in line with market needs and recognized by its customers.
Simple and attractive pricing:
Generix’s pricing model is simple and straightforward: it depends solely on the number of invoices processed per year, with sliding-scale rates according to volume. This enables companies using SAP to keep a clear overview of their costs and limit the impact of the reform on their budget.
Easy integration with SAP thanks to A2C connector
To easily connect your SAP ERP to the Generix platform, Applium offers the A2C connector (Applium Cloud Connector). This tool, entirely developed in SAP technology (ABAP), integrates directly with your system, whether SAP ECC6 or S/4HANA. It centralizes all your electronic invoicing flows. In concrete terms, A2C performs several key functions:
- Synchronization of incoming and outgoing invoices : the connector automatically transmits customer invoices issued in SAP to the Generix PDP, and uploads supplier invoices from the PDP for integration into SAP, based on standard formats (conversion of SAP data to UBL format and vice versa via IDoc).
- Centralized tracking in SAP : A2C synchronizes in real time with MPS to update invoice processing statuses (issued, received, pending, paid, etc.). This gives your users complete tracking directly in SAP, without having to connect to an external portal. Dedicated SAP dashboards enable you to supervise exchanges and carry out manual interventions if necessary.
- Automated tax reporting : the connector takes care of sending e-reporting data to the authorities via the Generix PDP, based on information already present in SAP (international sales, B2C transactions, payment data, etc.). This guarantees compliance with additional reporting obligations without any additional effort.
The A2C connector has already proved its worth: Applium customers have been using it for several years to exchange invoices with the Chorus Pro public portal, which bears witness to its robustness and efficiency. Its native SAP technology (ABAP/IDoc) guarantees easy maintenance and seamless integration with existing processes. In anticipation of the 2026 deadline, Applium has already begun adapting A2C for Generix PDP, with the aim of delivering a first version as early as October 2025. This will provide you with a pilot environment for validating exchanges between your SAP and the Generix platform well before the reform comes into force.
